Change Your Password

Regularly updating your password helps keep your account secure.

Change Password in App

1. Open AffirmID
2. Go to Settings → Security
3. Tap Change Password
4. Enter your current password
5. Enter your new password
6. Confirm your new password
7. Tap Update Password

Password Requirements

Your new password must have:

• ✓ At least 12 characters
• ✓ At least one uppercase letter (A-Z)
• ✓ At least one lowercase letter (a-z)
• ✓ At least one number (0-9)
• ✓ At least one special character (!@#$%^&*)

Password Strength Indicator

As you type, you'll see:

• 🔴 Weak - Easy to guess
• 🟡 Fair - Could be stronger
• 🟢 Strong - Good protection
• 💚 Very Strong - Excellent!

Tips for Strong Passwords

Do:

• Use a passphrase (e.g., "correct-horse-battery-staple")
• Use a password manager
• Make it unique to AffirmID

Don't:

• Use personal information (birthdays, names)
• Use common words or patterns
• Reuse passwords from other services

Forgot Your Password?

If you can't remember your current password:

1. Sign out of AffirmID
2. On the login screen, tap Forgot Password
3. Enter your email address
4. Check your email for reset link
5. Create a new password

After Changing Password

• All other sessions will be signed out
• You'll need to sign in again on other devices
• Your TOTP codes and push will continue working
