Multiple Devices
Use AffirmID on more than one device for flexibility and backup access.
Why Use Multiple Devices?
- Backup - If one device is lost or broken
- Convenience - Use your phone or tablet
- Work/Personal - Separate devices for different contexts
Add a New Device
From your existing device:
- Go to Settings → Devices
- Tap Add Device
- A QR code will appear
On your new device:
- Install AffirmID from the app store
- Tap I have an account
- Tap Scan QR Code
- Scan the QR code from your other device
- Authenticate on your original device to approve
View Linked Devices
Go to Settings → Devices to see:
- Device name
- Device type
- Last active time
- Location (approximate)
Rename a Device
- Go to Settings → Devices
- Tap the device you want to rename
- Tap Rename
- Enter a new name (e.g., "Work iPad")
- Tap Save
Remove a Device
If you no longer use a device or it was lost:
- Go to Settings → Devices
- Tap the device to remove
- Tap Remove Device
- Confirm removal
Important: Remove lost/stolen devices immediately!
Push Notifications on Multiple Devices
When you have multiple devices:
- All devices receive push notifications
- Approving on any device completes the request
- Denying on any device blocks the request
